Kim Kardashian put years of speculation about her romance with Travis Barker to rest during a wide-ranging interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, making it clear that she never dated the Blink-182 drummer before he married her sister, Kourtney Kardashian.
The SKIMS founder didn’t hesitate when host Alex Cooper asked her if she had “ever dated Buck in the past.”
“No, I never have,” King said. “Of course, I don’t mind you asking. I’ve never done that and it would be really bad for (the rumors) to continue.”
This rumor has been circulating for years, in part because of Buck’s own 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Big, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, in which he admitted to having a crush on Kim. But Kardashian said she had no idea he had written about her.
“No,” she replied when asked if she knew anything mentioned in the memoir. “But it would say we never had contact. I mean, I don’t think he would mention that information, you know?”
Kim explained that she and Buck became friends through social circles, which included Paris Hilton, whom Buck briefly dated.
“He dated Paris (Hilton) and we were all friends and when Paris and I were together we would all hang out together,” she said. “We would go on the road and do their tour in Amsterdam. So, I was always friends with him…but never had a relationship with him.”
Buck and Courtney started dating in 2020 and tied the knot in 2022. According to Kim, their families had been close for years before their romance began.
“Courtney was in the neighborhood. They were neighbors for ten years,” she explained. “So, when everyone is hanging out…he’s always with his kids. They always come to Kourtney’s house for birthdays. Everything is super open and cool and everyone is friends. He has a great relationship with them just like he does with all of us. There’s nothing weird about that.”
