This past June, Kendrick Lamar traveled all the way from his hometown of Los Angeles to undisputedly make hip-hop history. Kendrick went live from the legendary Kia Forum in Inglewood, selling out artists and celebrities for two hours to celebrate the city (and, of course, Drake’s fiasco).

The show kicked off with DJ Hed taking the stage first and bringing in young hosts such as Remble, TDE’s Ray Vaughn, Cuzzos, Jay Worthy, Westside Boogie, including the legendary Tommy the Clown, who appeared with a dance team. means business.

So did Mustard and his friends, who were next on the list, with names like YG, Dom Kennedy, Steve Lacy, Tyler The Creator and more. The coup de grace, however, was Kendrick himself, wearing a blood-red hoodie and prescription glasses to drum up the crowd’s frenzy.
