Karlie Redd was arrested April 22 in Atlanta for felony theft, allegedly suspected of breaking into her estranged husband’s home and stealing personal belongings amid a fierce divorce dispute.
“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” is accused of illegally entering Teleau Belton’s residence, a year after her husband.
According to court records, Karlie Redd allegedly entered the house through the back door and obtained a watch, birth certificate and card.
The so-called break-in took place on January 13, 2025, but was arrested several months after the arrest was made due to escalating tensions between the couple.
The two got married in 2024 and filed for divorce within six months. The case has since become increasingly controversial, with the judge recently ordered Belton to pay Redd more than $18,000 a month for temporary spousal support.
Red was released on a $15,000 margin after being arrested.
She gave up her initial hearing and was ordered to stay away from Belton and the property.
The court also restricts any links between the two beyond legal matters related to divorce.
According to reports, Redd and Belton reportedly reportedly had a family incident in February, leading to Belton filing for divorce.
The crime of burglary adds another layer to the already publicly brief marriage.
Redd has not made public comments about the arrest.
