After a heated exchange online, Joe Budden finally addressed Ong Miami as he teased him about getting a “Pump It Up” plaque in 2024.

Joe Budden responds to Yung Miami’s laugh over his ‘Pump It Up’ plaque

Joe Budden has fired back at Yung Miami, who mocked him for going gold in 2024 for his 2003 hit “Pump It Up.” On episode 753 of The Joe Budden Podcast, which premiered on YouTube on Sunday (August 25), Joe addressed the former City Girls rapper, who posted a laugh while reposting a video from the podcast emoji, and he receives a “Pump It Up” plaque in the film.

At the 2:45 mark in the video below, Joe has some critical words to say about Yon Miami.

“I want to be clear, I like Yon Miami. I do. I want to be honest here,” Joe began. “And I think she’s a really good content creator.”

“I think she will soon realize that laughter is a luxury,” he continued. “I’ve always said laughter is good for the soul, but the other side of it is also a privilege, so while I’m glad Caressa was able to laugh because she’s had such a stressful year, I’m a little surprised she found enough Time to laugh at anything.

“If Complex listed all the female rappers saying about Caresha, you would be at the bottom of the list. You would be at the bottom of the list,” he added. “Now every woman out there is out to destroy you.”

“I need to remind you that I’ve heard more ‘Pump It Up’ today than you have, so you were nine years old when you ranted on social media and said ‘Pump It Up’ was off the air. And now you’re 30 and you should be wary of that because your record company is telling you today that they’re not seeing any growth,” he concluded.

Joe also describes Yung Miami as a “science project” going through an identity crisis. He further criticized her rap skills, claiming she was the worst female rapper in the game and that she didn’t write her own rhymes.

Joe Budden’s vitriol towards Yung Miami stems from a post she made on X (formerly Twitter), mocking Joe for receiving a plaque for “Pump It Up” with a mocking emoji.

After Joe’s reply, Yung Miami countered that Joe Budden had criticized her for not dropping more episodes of Caresha Please! Podcast on Revolt TV.

“Another one biting the dust remember???” she tweeted. “You were just celebrating when you thought I took the L. I can laugh and you’re just laughing at me, so let’s laugh! [three laughing emojis]”.

The two got into a heated argument, which ended with Miami teaching Joe a valuable life lesson. She emphasized the importance of treating others with the same respect and consideration that you would wish to treat yourself.

“You don’t like how it feels when people laugh at your accomplishments, but it feels cool when you do,” she wrote in a post on X. “It doesn’t feel good, right!”
