Jennifer Lopez held the American Music Awards Monday night (May 26) in Las Vegas, which included a six-minute show that included 23 songs, salutes to American veterans and kisses on the stage with two internet buzzing.
The actress and singer started the show in Fontainebleau and featured quick shots like “Dance Again”, “Loss of Control”, “Hot To Go” and “Smile Death”. But it’s not just the music people are talking about – it’s the choreography.
Midway through the scene, a male dancer leans over and kisses Lopez on the lips. A moment later, a female dancer followed suit. The second woman then lingers a few inches from Lopez’s mouth, their faces almost touching.

Lopez later explained the concept behind the performance, which showed that it was her idea. “It’s kind of like narrative, some stories,” she told Variety. “The whole idea is around the mirror and the thought. Each of us appreciates this great music every year, and we enter our own world with music, and that’s the whole premise of the performance. Then, throughout the process, everyone feels differently. I like the idea of losing control.”

Comedian Tiffany Haddish added some relief after the scene, joked, “Save the dancer for me, J.Lo. Damn! You’re not the only single person here.”
The performance was held on Memorial Day and ended with Lopez commemorating veterans in the United States.
Lopez’s kiss-filled opening hand was compared with the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, where Madonna became famous for Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on a mix of “like a virgin.”
Jennifer Lopez was initially defined as part of the performance, but had to quit due to arrangement conflicts. Aguilera intervened to complete the trio.
