Janet Jackson’s former manager Moel Masri says the legendary singer fired her after she issued a statement on her behalf apologizing for questioning Kamala Harris’ race. Jackson did so in an interview with The Guardian at the weekend. “Janet respects Harris’ dual heritage as a Black and Indian person and apologizes for any confusion caused,” Elmasri’s statement said. Shortly after the news was released, a representative for Jackson clarified that she had not yet approved the message.
