Ice Spice’s former friend Baby Storme exposed the rapper’s bad words about Nicki Minaj on Friday (May 3). Storme leaked Ice Spice’s text messages, revealing how the Capitol Records artist really feels about Nicki.
The text messages show Ice Spice was frustrated with Nicki in May 2023.
“We have another Barbie soundtrack coming out in June and this is my chance to give her a shot,” Ice Spice wrote. “Bc Barbie asked me to do it alone, but since it was her brand I invited her and she didn’t even think it was me bringing her something. She’s kinda like my mom, ungrateful and delusional. BTW , I cut her off and didn’t speak to her until January.
She added, “She wants all of my songs published, including 3rd party writing contests. So anything I write for other people or any song I hear. Please note that before working with Nicki, I had a relationship with Taylor Swfit has worked with.
Storm noted that Nikki was born in a different era, and she probably didn’t think there was anything wrong with her request. Ice Spice agrees and thinks Nicki is “jealous” of the 24-year-old rapper having her owner.
“That’s basically what she said because she kept saying, oh, when Wayne signed me, I didn’t question it etc,” Ace Spice wrote. “But she and I were at different stages in our careers when that happened. It was like I was already signed, so why would I go backwards & no, it was just necessary, like she was gaslighting me too much. For the sake of my mental health, I have to love her from a distance.
Ice Spice and Nicki’s first collaboration is a “Princess Diana” remix, launching in April 2023.
