“Straight to The Breakfast Club after this.”

Looking for a party city? Houston might be just what you’re looking for. As this video from Houston Club shows, the city’s nightlife is vibrant and can last until 7am. “Houston really doesn’t sleep,” @juicerenee wrote in a recent video.

In the video, people stand outside the Pinkhouse club in Houston during what appears to be sunrise. People spread out to say goodbye and generally just hang out. “It’s 7 a.m. in a pink house in Houston, people just relaxing,” the video’s text overlay says. The video has over 85,000 views and 1,400 likes.

Some in the comments section were surprised, some not so much.

“How can people hang out for so long?” one comment said.

“They go after hours. One closes at 2 p.m.,” said another.

“I pass this place every morning on my way to work and see the cars on the street,” said another.

“Good morning, it’s breakfast, I forgot the time, but… you all cried,” said another.

“Go to sleep…you trippers,” another suggested.

Although some people watch the sunrise the morning after clubbing, Houston actually has a fairly early curfew. Bars are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages after 2am. This is due to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages after a certain time. In fact, some Texas cities have even earlier curfews and do not allow alcohol sales after midnight.

However, Prohibition in Houston gave rise to a thriving after-get off work party culture. Some clubs, such as Pinkhouse, market their venues as BYOB party spaces after 2 a.m. According to the @juicerenee video and comments on the club’s Google page, the Pinkhouse closed at 6am, creating a big opportunity for people who didn’t want to go home after the local bar’s final announcement.

While most bars in Houston close earlier than bars in several other U.S. cities, these restrictions have given rise to creative after-party spots that blend parties with breakfast hours.

AllHipHop has reached out to @juicerenee for comment via TikTok DMs and comments. We will update this story if she responds.
