Freddie Gibbs verbally swiped Gunna at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, tagging him as a “Rat Bastard” in a video that quickly toured online, but the objection was so fast when viewers found out that he never really got close to him.
Gibbs posted the clip to social media where he saw sitting next to his friend. He titled it, “2 n ######## There has never been a swing ######.”
In the video, he says, “I see you, boy. He’s Tryna hide, and then calls Gunna a “rat bastard.”

This moment was clearly a jab on Gunna’s 2022 Alford plea agreement in the YSL Rico case, and Gibbs repeatedly criticized it.
However, many online calls for Gibbs did not face Gunna directly.
One user commented: “n #### did it, and didn’t say a word to him.” “n ##### hoes man.”
Another added: “In my time, if we were to a guy, a little softer person, we used to fight.”
Gibbs didn’t let criticism slide. He applauded with a commenter, “laugh n #### f ### u.”
When another user posted a meme, “Someone told Freddy was thinking about his business” and then “go to help those kids b #####,” Gibbs said to “Tell your dad, b ####.”

Freddie Gibbs assembles Gunna on the latest album
The tension between two rappers is nothing new. Gibbs, in its recent project, Alfredo 2, joined the Alchemist (Alfredo 2), rekindled hatred in the “Habit of Luxury”. He said: “Gunna fired me and begged that he was a rat.”
Meanwhile, Gunna kept a relatively quiet on the matter, although he was scrutinized after leaking prison videos and audio from Young Thug in late August.
In one clip, the thug appointed a colleague during police interrogation, which led to new charges. Thug denied that he was just helping a friend without testifying in court.
Ironically, observers are not lost, noting that the thugs have previously criticized Gunna for allegedly working with law enforcement but are currently facing similar charges in person.
Gunna reportedly took the deal away for a woman to release her from prison during a leaked prison phone call. He also made it clear that he would no longer contact him.
