The FBI is currently investigating the Offset Casino shooting and has released photos of the suspect and vehicle.
On Tuesday (April 14), the FBI’s Miami Field Office announced that they are investigating the April 6 shooting that injured Offset outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. In a statement to XXL, the FBI is seeking the public’s help identifying suspects suspected of being involved in the incident. They also released several photos of the alleged suspect and his getaway car, which can be seen below.
“A large group of men attacked a lone victim, one of whom produced a handgun and fired a single shot, striking the victim,” the statement read. “After firing, the subject attempted to remove the injured victim’s watch. The watch was not stolen.”
“The suspect fled the scene in two Chevrolet SUVs, a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban. The black Suburban fled the area toward Hollywood, Florida, while the Tahoe fled south toward Miami,” the statement concluded.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit Tips.fbi.gov.
As previously reported, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was taken to a local hospital following the shooting, while Lil Tjay, who was at the casino during the incident, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (fighting) and driving without a license. According to a probable cause affidavit, Tjay (née Tione Merritt) allegedly initiated a fight with Offset, which reportedly led to the Bronx rapper’s co-workers filming Migos rhyming.
Offset is now discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, Lil Tjay’s attorney Dawn Florio released a statement about his arrest and denied the rapper was involved in the shooting.
