Fans came to Drake’s Ice Structure’s first day looking for the release date of his Iceman album.
On Monday (April 20), Drizzy revealed that his album release date is hidden in a giant ice structure in a Toronto parking lot. Of course, fans came in droves to see this massive installation. What started out as Aubrey supporters showing up to take selfies and marvel at the massive man-made glacier turned into people themselves trying to make it to the launch date before the ice melts naturally.
Fans attacked the building with blowtorches, pickaxes and even charcoal and lighter fluid. One man is even offering a free car to anyone who can find his keys hidden in a giant block of ice. Police intervened and dispersed the crowd after a fire broke out on top of the building.
Drake has been teasing his Iceman album for over a year. Last month, he confirmed that a launch was imminent. However, he has yet to announce a release date for the record, which will be his ninth solo studio album.
It’s estimated that it takes about four days for the ice to melt on its own, and the mystery of The Iceman’s release date is about to be revealed. Some theories suggest the album will be released on Friday (April 24), while others believe the project could be released as late as July.
