E-40 sponsored a toy drive that gave away more than 1,000 gifts during the Christmas season, bringing holiday cheer to South Vallejo.

E-40 turned a rainy Saturday into a celebration of generosity and community spirit in South Vallejo as his third annual toy drive distributed more than 1,000 gifts to local families.
The Bay Area hip-hop icon helped fund a massive giveaway at Shiloh Community Church, where children received everything from dolls to soccer balls to remote-controlled drones. Each family was left with a bicycle, and some lucky participants received great prizes such as a PlayStation 5 and a flat-screen TV.
“I see the community is more united than when I was younger,” Pharaoh Neff told the Vallejo Sun. “It takes a lot of effort to get people to come out.” But as you can see today, the line has rounded the corner and it’s raining outside. it’s beautiful. “
The event is a collaboration between three local organizations: Shiloh Church, M&M Liquors and E-40 himself. The church, where E-40’s grandfather once served as pastor, is located across the street from a liquor store where the rapper once sold mixtapes from his car.

The parking lot was transformed into a holiday block party, with live music, free food and drone-friendly bounce houses. Six Santa Clauses, a gingerbread man, and even a Grinch mixed in with the crowd.
Several Vallejo hip-hop artists also joined the event, including LaRussell and Teflon Twaun, who teamed up with Pharaoh Nef to distribute gifts and pay tribute to the family.
“We don’t have a sports team, you know, all we have is our rappers and our athletes,” Russell said. “We don’t have a lot of people coming out of here that we see every day. And I’m one of those people, and people can see me, they can see Nef, they can see Twaun, and that’s important, that’s vital to the morale of the city.”
More than 60 volunteers helped coordinate the event, which took place on December 21, 2025. Shiloh Church continues to serve the community year-round by providing free food to those in need every Thursday.
