Mid-year streaming recaps hit this morning, and Drake is still the undisputed heavyweight. His album ICEMAN maintains the record for biggest rap album debut of 2026 with 140.2 million first-day Spotify streams.
The May 15 triple-drop — ICEMAN, Maid of Honour, and Habibti — totaled 197 million combined first-day streams. ICEMAN alone did the heavy lifting with 140.2M, while opening track “Make Them Cry” shattered Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” record with 13.219M single-day streams.
The album has since crossed 1 billion Spotify streams and held No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for multiple weeks. Drake’s follow-up projects MAID OF HONOUR (29.1M) and HABIBTI (27.7M) plus new track “Shabang” continue dominating Apple Music’s Today’s Hits.
With ICEMAN now the second-largest rap debut in Spotify history behind only his Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s commercial grip on 2026 is locked.
