After Drake’s ice treasure hunt ended, Twitch streamer Kishka discovered Iceman’s May 15 release date and walked away with thousands in cash.
Drake turned his album launch into an all-out treasure hunt, with fans in Toronto scaling ice with blowtorches and pickaxes just to crack the code.
Liu Shen buried the release date of his upcoming project Iceman in a giant freezing device outside the Bond Square Hotel, and Twitch streamer Kishka became the hero to pull it all out.
Kishka live broadcasted his climb up the building, and finally fished out a blue bag with the words “Frozen World” printed on it from the icy depths.
Chaos quickly escalated as fans showed up with every tool imaginable to try to hasten the thaw. Kishka’s determination paid off when he cracked the code and received the prize.
Kishka trekked through Toronto, and when he finally arrived at the estate, he opened the bag to reveal layers of waterproof packaging surrounding a book, as if it were prepared for a deep-sea expedition.
With all protections lifted, the big reveal is coming: Iceman will be released on May 15th.
The tracklist is still locked, but Drake isn’t done yet.
Kishka walked away with another Ziploc bag containing stacks of hundred-dollar bills, a nice reward for a successful launch.
The only twist? Drake never showed up in person to congratulate him, although he was seen waving out of the window as if he was watching the whole thing unfold.
