As if three albums (“Iceman,” “Habibti” and “Maid Of Honor”) weren’t enough, Drake is upping the ante yet again on release day. The boy has just released 11 new music videos through his artist channel on YouTube.
Across the three projects, Drake has shot multiple shots of Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Rick Ross, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky and more. He doesn’t shy away from Big Three talk, in fact, he dismisses them entirely – as Kendrick says in his own verse on “Like That” – “That’s my greatness.”
Against this backdrop, releasing three albums plus 11 newly released music videos in one day seems like a solid statement. There’s no doubt that Drake has proven that his work is nearly unparalleled – and he doesn’t shy away from wowing audiences.
Another reason could be that he deviated from his strategy of only having a few songs. Why? Well, the fewer songs there are, the more focused the audience is, and thus the cynicism and criticism increases. However, trading volumes take time to process. Regardless, Drake has definitely come back strong and is far from a thing of the past. Check out the video below!
