Doja Cat questioned the sexual orientation of Star Wars character Chewbacca in a recent social media post.
Doja the Cat wants to know if Chewbacca is gay
On Friday (June 7), Doja Cat shared a question with her fans on X (formerly Twitter), asking if Chewbacca, the popular Wookiee character from Star Wars, is gay.
“Is Chewbacca gay?” Doja thought. “Chewbacca might be gay. Chewbacca is the mother of all bondages.”
Some fans seemed to agree with Doha’s assessment. “Yes, he’s a bear,” one fan wrote. Another netizen praised Doja for “raising real issues.”
Surprisingly, Doja isn’t the first person to question whether Chewy is gay. This has actually been a rumor that’s been going on for years, especially considering Wookiee’s close relationship with Han Solo in the movies. Fans have also pointed out that Chewy is always dramatic, makes loud noises, and really enjoys interacting with Han, so Doja may be on to something here.

Doha cat allegedly calls for father
While Doja Cat is no stranger to expressing silly thoughts on social media, the Scarlet rapper’s recent interactions on social media have been less light-hearted. On May 26, Doja posted a slideshow on Instagram that showed her wrapped in a blanket and looking shocked. The title caught the attention of her fans, threatening to turn someone into Doja’s next album.
“I’m going to make you my next project and you’re going to have to listen to it for the rest of your god-forsaken life,” Doja Cat wrote.
Doja’s followers immediately assumed the rapper was talking about her estranged father and supported her for speaking out.
“You became a star while he was gone [raised hands emoji] As a star, you should stay,” one user wrote.
“Bad guys without dads, unite[nail painting emoji],” another user entered.
Blog page live! It was later reported that Doja had previously directly addressed her father’s drug use in the deleted caption.
“Dad, let me know when/if you need me to reorganize your makeup cabinet because you’re an asshole,” Doja Cat wrote.
Back in January, Doja Cat’s brother Raman Dalithando Dlamini faced accusations of abusing Doja. The siblings’ mother claimed in a restraining order that Dlamini reportedly verbally and physically assaulted the rapper. Doja’s brother denied the accusations in an interview with The Shade Room.
