Dave Chappelle will bring comedy and live music to the Hollywood Palladium for three nights this May as part of Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
Dave Chappelle will bring the Hollywood Palladium to life for three consecutive nights this May with a lineup that blends stand-up comedy, live music and unexpected surprises.
The comedy legend announced the May 7-9 performance dates as part of Netflix’s Is A Joke Fest, a massive comedy event sweeping Los Angeles with more than 475 performances at 45 venues.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 29th at 10am PT, and based on his track record, they won’t stick around for long.
This marks Chappelle’s return to the festival since 2022, when he hosted the inaugural festival and made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
During the first show, a 23-year-old man rushed onto the stage and tackled him, but security staff acted quickly and Chappelle walked away unharmed. The attacker, Isaiah Lee, was sentenced to 270 days in prison for the incident.
Four years later, Chappelle is ready to take back that stage and show the world he’s not going anywhere.
The motivation behind this announcement is real. Chappell has been incredible lately. His Netflix special “The Dreamer” won a Grammy, and last December he launched a surprise special “The Unstoppable,” his eighth project on the platform.
In 2025, he became the first comedian to win the NAACP President’s Award, cementing his status as one of the most influential voices in comedy.
According to Deadline , the shows will feature yet-to-be-announced music and guest appearances, meaning the real magic happens when the lights go down.
The 2026 edition of Netflix Is A Joke Fest is shaping up to be a historic event, as the biggest names in comedy descend on Los Angeles for a week of pure entertainment.
Chappelle’s three nights at the Palladium represented a festival-defining event, and considering everything he’s achieved since 2022, this return feels like the right time.
