Damon Dash closed a long whisper about Beyoncé trying to pursue Beyoncé while dating Jay-Z in recent dialogue art, insisting that he never crossed the line and was more interested in the then-supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
“No. I’ll never try to talk to another man’s wife,” Dash was asked directly if there was any rumor that there was any truth.
He recalled the brief encounter with Beyoncé in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and he said: “I’ve met her once, and I think I had a number in the Victoria’s Secret show, but to me, she’s like a little girl.”
He added that Beyoncé has not yet achieved her “full potential”, saying she is “a year or two” away from becoming a household name.
Dash stressed that he has never taken any action since. “I don’t want to say that because it triggers too much. … But I’ve never tried talking to her since.”
He also made it clear that Jay-Z had a code when he was dating. “I never saw one of his girls and said, ‘I’m smashing her.’ It never happened.
Dash co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z, and he also claimed that women sometimes have to choose between two people. “Sometimes, if there is a choice, they will choose me a lot, and sometimes they will choose him.”
He raised the late singer Aaliyah and said Jay-Z had a physical interaction with her and he would not pursue her. “We were both with her, but she chose me. That’s all. It’s not the girl I wanted to take him. I mean, he might be like that, I’m sure he did it. You know, there’s nothing I can do.”

During the interview, Dash’s delivery was unbalanced, indecisive and repetitive moments. He said: “I don’t even listen to Beyoncé’s records because I don’t want to think about ### her. I don’t want to see her shake her body. Even Jay, I still think he’s my brother…I don’t even know what she looks like.”
When asked about a separate rumor, he tried to talk to Beyoncé in a 2003 “Clothes Change” video shoot, two years after Jay-Z started dating the singer, Dash dismissed it. “If I had talked to her, I wouldn’t have tried to contact her,” he added: “I don’t even know how good she looks.”
