The Conway Machine and Freddie Gibbs may just be friends. Digital streets are whispering.
Rumors broke out recently after the butcher and Conway clashed overseas in Paris.
What should have been a powerful performance turned into a rumor festival, with each artist performing it separately. But the rumors did not stop there. One source said it was more than a simple disagreement – claiming that physical disputes almost broke out, one was eliminated, and one was allegedly drawn. Since then, Benny and his team have remained silent, neither confirming nor denying the incident.
What made the situation even more confusing was that Conway showed a lot of love for Gibbs – after the war. It’s bold, considering the known history between Freddie Gibbs and Benny’s crew.
A few years ago, Gibbs and Benny had a serious public dispute. Gibbs jumped up when he went to Benny’s hometown of Buffalo. Gibbs was still on the stage afterwards, but his performance was obviously bruised. It is no secret that Benny’s camp was suspected of being involved.
It’s the kind of moment that makes the hip-hop leader successful. I shrunk. Benny and Gibbs cook some of the best lyrics before things get bad. Watching violence shorten creative magic is a reminder of how vulnerable the greatness can be when self and street politics get in the way.
Listen to this:
How did we enter this parallel universe? This is Wack!
It is unclear whether Conway’s positive resonance and love for everyone has rekindled the old tension, but some observers are connecting these points. We need answers. After all, Benny and Conway are family, and loyalty still has weight in hip-hop. But Conway once said, “Choose one side.”
At present, it has not been confirmed what causes the so-called Paris consequences. But Grizelda’s silence on the matter only evokes rumors. Each artist continues to move alone, promote projects and perform without acknowledging more and more whispers. Talk to us. Or, better yet, talk to each other. You need more than you think each other needs.
It’s rare in this era of adult rap and lyrical excellence, and watching Grizelda and Gibbs beef is disappointing. We need to solve this problem. It’s a reminder that while rap beef has always been part of the game, so does growth.
Hip-hop doesn’t always make room for peace. But that doesn’t mean that artists can’t.
For the record, we love all these handsome guys! They are the pinnacle MC of the new era.
