Cardi B confirmed the birth of her fourth child and first child with Stefon Diggs during an appearance at a New York boutique opening, where she also hinted at her newborn son’s name and revealed the toll that pregnancy takes on her body.
“I haven’t revealed the name yet,” the 33-year-old rapper told Highsnobiety at the CYBEX Global flagship store launch event in Manhattan. “Very cute.”
The Bronx-born artist, who recently released her latest album Am I The Drama?, revealed that she needed to be on her feet for long periods of time during her pregnancy. “You know, I needed bed rest because that baby – oh. That baby was heavy,” she said.
The baby boy, born last week, is the first child for Cardi and the New England Patriots wide receiver. After months of speculation that began in late 2024, the couple’s relationship became public in June 2025.
Cardi, who has three children together with Offset – Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1 – filed for divorce from the Migos rapper in August 2024. She described the separation as “not peaceful at all” in an interview with “The Breakfast Club” in September.
Diggs has an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. He also recently confirmed the paternity of another child after being tested by an Instagram model.
At the boutique event, Cardi reflected on how motherhood shaped her identity and how she carries herself.
“I dress like, when was the last time I didn’t have kids? Before I was 25,” she joked.
She also talked about the importance of self-esteem and setting a good example for children.
“I will stand up for myself,” she said. “Sometimes people say, ‘Oh, there’s no way to avoid it.'” No, I stand up for myself. Then my kids will find out their mom is not a punk. “
Cardi announced the news on Instagram on Thursday, saying it was the beginning of the “next era” of her life. She will kick off her Little Miss Theater Tour on February 11 in Palm Desert, California.
