Cardi B took it too far, and she knows it. The Bronx rapper called a four-year-old girl a “b####” on Instagram Live. Her target is Reese Donatelli, the viral kid who “believes in toddlers” in NFL projections.
Cardi’s boyfriend Stefon Diggs plays wide receiver for the New England Patriots. On January 18, the team faced the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round.
Reese picked the Patriots to win. The prediction worried Cardi because the little girl made six straight mistakes in the playoffs, leading the rapper to think the Patriots would lose.
“That little white girl said we were going to win, f### that b####,” Cardi yelled during the live broadcast.
But she caught herself immediately. “I didn’t mean to say that,” Cady said immediately. The damage has been done. Reese’s father, Anthony Donatelli, responded directly to the video after seeing it.
“That’s my daughter…she’s four years old,” he wrote on social media. “This is a light-hearted, family-friendly video where she randomly picks out football helmets. Please don’t say bad words to the kids.”
Cardi B takes criticism or disrespect of her kids as fighting words – but, obviously that doesn’t apply to all regular kids who aren’t celebrities or public figures 🤔 pic.twitter.com/r4qCDwreDv

Anthony started the Believe in Toddlers series four years ago. He purchased a mini NFL helmet from Amazon to teach Reese colors and geography. The videos became a bonding activity between father and daughter.
“She’s clearly not an NFL analyst,” Anthony told the Los Angeles Times. “She’ll pick a team based on the color of her clothes, or she’ll pick the Packers because she likes cheese. She just uses these silly little things as reasons why she picks certain teams.”
Reese’s wild card prediction is 0-for-6. Online gamblers began calling her choice a “reverse jinx.” Some fans started betting on any team she chose. The four-year-old girl from Riverside, California is becoming famous online for her enthusiasm.
She would grab the winning team’s helmet and sometimes throw the losing team’s helmet across the room. But the playoff slump quickly turned ugly. Anthony received death threats and messages demanding thousands of dollars. Gambling losses were blamed on Reese.
“It’s crazy,” Anthony said. “We don’t want anyone or anything to destroy what Reese and I have created and the connection we have.”
Cardi’s comments made matters worse. The rapper worried Reese’s prediction would curse the Patriots. But the kid got this one right. New England defeated Houston 28-16 last Sunday (January 18).
The Patriots advance to the AFC Champions League. They will take on the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game today (January 25) at 3pm ET at Empower Field at Mile High.
