Cardi B allegedly got mad at a joke about Nicki Minaj during her recent appearance on Saturday Night Live .
On Wednesday (February 25), TMZ reported that Buddy will appear as the musical guest on the January 31 episode of the long-running sketch comedy show, which is filled with drama. As the Bronx, New York, rapper was getting ready for her show, she overheard Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che making a quip about Nicki Minaj’s new allegiance, the celebrity news site reports.
Cardi was apparently upset that the joke was tied to her appearance on the show, and she allegedly became angry. Sources say Cardi threatened to bounce and throw her phone at a TV monitor backstage. She also allegedly walked into the producer’s room and punched the screen until it cracked.
Cardi appeared to respond to the report via X on Wednesday afternoon.
“Well, all these random little stories…” she wrote. “Fuck it, let them talk, let them eat cake, let them come to the dance.”
Regardless of what happened during rehearsals for the show, Cardi went on to sing her new album Am I Drama? “Bodega Baddie” and “ErrTime” from “.
