Cardi B nodded in court in a high-profile raid trial, and now she has no excuses and humor.
The Bronx-born rapper appeared on a show by Jennifer Hudson on Monday (September 15) and encountered a camera viral moment at a summer court showdown.
“I won’t even lie, I am,” she admitted when asked if she was actually asleep. “I had a long night! I was in the middle of the album. I was sleepy and I was trying to fight it.”
The trial originated from an incident in 2018 that was accused of assaulting security personnel. Despite her fatigue, she walked away and won. But the pressure did not relieve her.
“I was overwhelmed,” she told Hudson. “I was in the midst of the album’s launch and I had to go to court. Then, when I went to court, I realized it was going to be on national television, being televised. It was like, ‘You have to be kidding me’…I missed my kids’ first day.”
