The alchemist denied that his Erykah Badu collaborative album should have given up last week.
Most fans and Badu seem to believe that the project, called Abi & Alan, will be released on Friday (August 29).
But now the legendary producers deny that this is the case.
He wrote on X: “Please tell me where I said there is anything to come out today.”
Please tell me what I said today.

After fans released receipts for Badu’s promotional album, Alchemist replied: “This is not mine. Show me where I’ve posted this place where I’ve ever posted this laugh.”
He added: “If you follow me and you know when something is going to fall, I’ll be very clear when it’s available.”
Given that Badu seems to have dropped last week, his comments are particularly confusing.
In a video statement announcing the release of the highly anticipated album, she said: “The Alchemist tells me to tell everyone that the album was not played in the midnight period.”
The release date for the album has not been announced yet.
Badu and the legendary producers first laughed at their collaboration in December 2024, when ALC released a series of photos showing in the lab.
He titled the “life-changing” montage, but did not elaborate on their work further.
The duo later made the album official in March, but there were few details about the project.
Erykah Badu’s last studio album was the second part of the new Amerykah (the return of ANKH) in March 2010, which debuted fourth on the Billboard 200. After that year, she released her first and only compilation album Icon and released her first and only mix pants in 2015, but you can use my phone.
Since then, the elusive artist has only jumped on some features – most recently Rapsody’s award-winning “3:AM”.
The track is an ode to the joy of late night love and pays tribute to both artists to the ones who make them feel the best.
The duo sang the song together for the first time at Badu’s 53rd birthday celebration in Dallas last February.
