In a new media clip circulating June 25, A$AP Rocky praised the current state of hip-hop, calling 2026 an “incredible year for music”.
Rocky highlighted a “massive surge in experimental sounds, unexpected multi-album rollouts, and boundary-pushing artists” that have “collectively revitalized the genre’s competitive landscape” over the first half of 2026.
The comments come as Rocky rolls out DON’T BE DUMB, released January 16, 2026 — his first album in 8 years. The album features Danny Elfman, Doechii, Gorillaz, Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn and Tim Burton cover art.
Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb World Tour kicked off May 27 in Chicago and runs through Paris Sept 30.
