The NBA has closed its investigation into the allegations against Josh Guidy after reaching similar conclusions to the Newport Beach police investigation, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Four months ago, Newport Beach police announced that their investigation was “unable to substantiate any criminal activity” against Oklahoma City Thunder’s 21-year-old Josh Giddey amid online allegations that he had a relationship with an unknown person. Adult girls have illicit relationships. In late November, the accusations against Guidi were made public on social media. An anonymous social media user said the girl spotted with Guidi in the photos and videos was a high school junior at the time of the post, which has since been deleted. After the post was published, the social media account was deleted.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in early December that the league’s investigation would “take a backseat” to the police investigative process, and on November 29, Newport Beach police began an investigation. Guidi has not responded to the accusations. He stayed with the team and averaged 8.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game during the Thunder’s playoff run to the Western Conference semifinals.

Josh Giddy investigation now closed
Josh Giddy’s accusations shocked the basketball world and beyond. The allegations involving inappropriate contact with a minor, Livv Cook, are a shocking development. The dispute erupted when photos and videos of Guidi with a young woman appeared on social media. Additionally, there are rumors that the girl named Livv Cook is only 15 years old, suggesting that this connection is false. Josh Giddy has remained silent throughout the ordeal. Many fans wonder why these accusations went unpunished. After all, the league is so quick to punish other players for things that are otherwise less problematic.
Josh Giddy’s name is on the trade block in Oklahoma City. The Thunder made a splash in an unexpected season by earning the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Guiddy recently spoke about how difficult this season has been for him and how he was benched during games. They will look to add another star next to MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Guidy could find himself part of a deal for a bigger and better player. All in all, the Gideon affair is finally over.
