Jim Jones will not face legal action after a heated argument on an airport escalator left a man covered in blood.
Capo claims he acted in self-defense after being outnumbered by two men during an altercation at a Miami airport earlier this month. Police said surveillance video corroborated his story, TMZ reported. Furthermore, no one wanted to press charges.
Although the video went viral, Jones claimed the incident started while they were still on the plane, according to TMZ Police. Jones accused one of the men, James Dos Santos, of pushing him after he took his belongings from the overhead bin before the plane came to a stop.
Jones told police Dos Santos grabbed his arm and apologized after admonishing him for his behavior. Meanwhile, another passenger, Alexander Lekht, began screaming at the rapper, but Jones declined to discuss the matter further.
Still, according to the police report, Lecter followed Jones and tried to provoke him into reacting. Licht even tried to get him to back off, which Jones ignored the first time. However, Jones reacts after Lecter does this a second time while riding an escalator.
Jones said he planned to detain Licht until authorities arrived, but Licht began beating him and then Dos Santos joined in.
Police said Jim Jones’s claims were supported by evidence, the outlet reported. Licht was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face. Although Jones had some facial bruising, he declined to discuss the matter further.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent trolled Jones on social media after footage of the fight went viral. He joked that an old man injured in the melee was out for revenge.
