“Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life” tour kicks off in June

The Roots have announced a series of new tour dates called the Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life Tour, which will take the band to cities across the United States with support from Arrested Development and Digable Planets.
The tour will follow the 2024 The Roots’ Picnic Tour in Philadelphia this June, with a lineup including Lil Wayne, Jill Scott, André 3000 and more. At the end of June, The Roots will host the Roots Picnic: Hip-Hop Is The Love of My Life music festival in Los Angeles, where Arrested Development and Digable Planets will also perform.

After the Los Angeles festival, The Roots will play a few more shows (three in Europe) before reuniting with Arrested Development and Digable Planets for “Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life,” first in Houston Hold a show. From there, they’ll travel to the South, Midwest and East Coast, with a show in Boston on September 1st. See the full list of dates below and grab your tickets here.
In addition to touring, The Roots are busy serving as the house band for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In February they supported Sophie Ellis-Best on “Murder on the Dance Floor” and last month they teamed up with Ray Parker Jr., Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson on “Ghostbusters” “theme song.
