Leaked details surfaced August 14, 2026, regarding an alleged armed studio extortion incident involving Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane, resulting in a federal indictment and a subsequent diss track from Gucci. Court docs from the Northern District of Georgia allege Pooh Shiesty entered Patchwerk Studios with two men in June and demanded $100K from Gucci for a cleared verse.
According to the filing, Gucci refused and was allegedly threatened with a firearm, leading to a 3-count federal indictment for attempted extortion and weapons possession unsealed today. Pooh Shiesty is currently serving federal time for a 2020 shooting case until 2027. Gucci responded hours later with a snippet of a diss track “1017 vs 1017” saying “you tried to rob the plug.”
Atlantic Records and Gucci’s attorneys have not commented. The incident marks the first time the former labelmates have clashed publicly since Pooh signed to 1017 in 2020. Federal hearing set for August 28 in Atlanta.
