A$AP Rocky took some time to briefly rekindle his strained relationship with Drake while in the OVO star’s native Canada.
Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb Tour kicked off in Vancouver on Wednesday night (July 1) when he spotted a fan in the crowd holding a custom sign directed at Drizzy. Deciding to give it some extra shine, Rocky held up the flag for those in the arena to see, grinning broadly as the crowd erupted in cheers.
The sign reads: “This cutie sucked all 3 of your fucking albums,” referring to Drake’s three albums released in May – ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR.
While the two have seemingly had a strained relationship since Rocky dated Rihanna years ago, the feud has become even more apparent this year as they bickered with each other on their respective albums.
Earlier this year, Rocky appeared to take a shot at Drake on the Don’t Be Dumb cut “Stole Ya Flow.”
“First you stole my flow, so I stole your bi**h/I can’t trust any soul but my pole and my baby,” Rocky raps in the chorus. In the first verse, he says, “Ni**as getting BBL, luckily we have no shame/Throwing dirt on Rocky’s name, turning around and copying the game.”
Meanwhile, Drake appeared to respond on “ICEMAN,” with fans pointing out several lyrics they believed were directed at Rocky and Rihanna. The most obvious take comes on “Burning Bridges,” where Drizzy raps, “Your baby mama didn’t even release your single/Damn, where is she?”
