A judge officially denied a motion from Oro House Recovery Centers to force Lil Uzi Vert to be deposed in California.
The decision clears the path for Uzi’s privacy lawsuit over a leaked, secretly recorded therapy session to advance. Uzi accuses a rehab employee of recording and sharing personal info.
Uzi’s legal team called the ruling “a win for patient privacy rights”. The facility argued the case should be dismissed, but the court disagreed.
Depositions will now move forward in Philadelphia.
