A video shows a man believed to be Gucci Mane being held at gunpoint telling Pooh Shiesty that he has escaped from No. 1017.
New footage began circulating on Wednesday (July 1). The video shows a man suspected to be Gurwoop standing between Vinnie Shesti and a man with a gun, his face censored.
“Let them know you ditched me, brother,” Vinnie says in the video.
“I give up on you,” the man who looked to be Gucci Mane replied. “Pooh Shiesty dropped from 1017.”
Prosecutors say the footage, recorded on Big30’s cell phone, matches photos of the incident released by the FBI last week. Investigators say Pooh Shiesty lured Gucci Mane to a Dallas recording studio on Jan. 10 only to threaten Gucci at gunpoint to sign a contract release form and rob him and his companions. Vinnie, his father, Big30 and six others have been charged in connection with the incident. They are currently awaiting trial, which is expected to take place next February.
XXL has reached out to Pooh Shiesty’s attorney and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for comment.
Meanwhile, in a letter to Judge Pooh Shiesty, a security guard for Gucci Mane expressed concern for the safety of his family following the alleged robbery by Guwop and others.
On June 24, U.S. prosecutors responded to the latest motion filed by Vinnie’s legal team to release the rapper on bail. The document includes a letter from a man who worked as a security guard for Gucci and was allegedly kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint by Vinnie and staff at a Dallas recording studio in January.
The judge ordered Vinnie to remain in jail until the trial is scheduled to begin on February 22, 2027.
