Chucky is in serious legal trouble. The OTF-affiliated rapper was recently arrested in Chicago.
According to Cook County Sheriff’s Office arrest records obtained by XXL, Chuckyy was arrested in Chicago on Tuesday (June 23). The 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Charles Edward Davis, is being held at the Cook County Jail without bail. Details of his arrest have not yet been released. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 29.
XXL has reached out to Chuckyy’s representatives and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
Chuckyy has been linked to Lil Durk’s Only The Family imprint, with the partnership beginning in 2024 after Durkio won his first Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for the J. Cole-assisted hit “All My Life.”
Since then, Chuckyy has become a rising rap star in the Windy City, with hits including “My World,” “Me vs. Me,” “Kobe,” “Free Smurk OFNG” and more. In October 2024, Lil Durk was arrested on suspicion of a murder-for-hire conspiracy, but that didn’t slow down Chuckyy. He’s giving it his all. The young rapper dropped his Bloodbath Vol. 2: Breach of Our Demo Project last year and recently debuted the visual for his latest single “Lamb Chop.”
In a February interview with XXL, Chuckyy reflected on his mentor’s legal woes, noting that Durk’s career advice still continues to guide his path.
“A lot of the crap he just said still helps me now,” he said. “He’s probably the reason I’m not broke right now. He’s the one who’s in my ear telling me… ‘Don’t buy that. Don’t do this.’ Or if I buy it, he’s going to make it up to me. He doesn’t even have to do anything like that. We’ve all grown up. So, me and bro fuck. Free bro. That thing’s not gonna work.”
Brothers will definitely solve it.
