NBA Ben10 is on the mend after enduring a string of shootings earlier this year, and he thanked his fans for their continued prayers for his recovery.
The rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana thanked his supporters in a post shared on social media on Wednesday night (June 17) and revealed that he expects to be back on his feet by Christmas this year.
“To everyone who prayed for me, thank you for your good prayers. I’m still in this joint,” he said in the clip. “We’re getting ready for Christmas, let me whip your ass again. Man.”
On April 8, a member of Never Broke Again was shot and killed at the Confessions restaurant in Houston, where Detroit rapper Allstar JR was also present during an attempted robbery. As the incident unfolded, JR grabbed a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting at least two people, including Ben.
According to the aggravated assault charges against JR in Harris County Court, Houston authorities later revealed that Ben10 suffered “irreversible paralysis of his lower limbs” due to sustained spinal injuries.
Just five weeks after the shooting, WBRZ reported that NBA Ben10 was shot again during an argument in his hometown of Baton Rouge. He was one of three people injured in the incident, but no further information was released.
