The New York Knicks accomplished what many thought was impossible. After a 53-year championship drought, the Knicks finally triumphed, defeating the San Antonio Spurs to win the coveted NBA trophy.
Of course, all of New York was celebrating. From Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State Of Mind” recording its highest-stream day yet (1.52 million plays!) to Wu-Tang Clan performing at halftime of the playoffs, all things hip-hop are buzzing again; from the streets, all the way to TVs and stadiums.
Now, the Wu-Tang Clan are also making a special appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where they celebrate the Knicks’ victory by rapping their classic record live on stage. They were also seen wearing New York Knicks jerseys and jackets, and the city was certainly filled with positivity at the time. Check out their wonderful tributes to their cities below!
