If you thought the latest RBT EP was the only three tracks you’d be lucky enough to receive from Freddie Gibbs, think again. The rapper went ahead and released a deluxe edition of his 2024 album You Only Die 1nce.
This means an additional 10 tracks have been added to the 12 already released and loved by fans. To be fair, these 10 tracks also include 3 tracks recently released as part of the RBT EP as well as an interlude – but who’s counting!
After all, Freddie is an artist with a knack for creating top-notch rap that lasts a long time. Of course, “Pinata” is a prime example of a song (though not the only one) that has been stuck in fans’ consciousness for some time.
On first listen, the project comes across very well, incorporating unconventional percussive elements, hints of disco and jazz, and Freddy’s deep voice coming through clearly in the mix. Every verse is a delicacy; no wonder his projects with The Alchemist are all about luxury food. Check out his latest experiment at the booth below!
