A few months ago, Rory and Marr said on their podcast that both Kendrick Lamar and Drake appeared on The Fall-Off twice. Both men have been right about things in the past, but this is a particularly bold claim, so take it with a grain of salt.
Of course, when the album was finally released last month, neither Kendrick nor Drake were involved, but according to Cole himself, the album went through a lot of changes in the ten years he worked on it
Now, J. Cole has confirmed during an appearance on Cam’ron’s TALK With FLEE podcast that Kendrick Lamar did appear on The Fall-Off twice after Future’s “Like That” aired. He said this was very inconvenient for him.
“I had just come off a tour with Drake, and I was on tour with Drake, and we did this…I was working on The Fall-Off, which was already finished, and by the way, someone leaked…he had two joints.”
