Blueface was trained by Chibu at Brand Risk 13 and failed miserably in his comeback, which raised questions about his May 2 match against Swaggy P.
Blueface was humiliated last night when Chibu sent him to Miami for Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 13 event.
The rapper was hoping to get a tune-up ahead of his May 2 showdown with NBA legend Swaggy P, but instead, he got a reality check he won’t soon forget.
Three years out of the ring gets you there. The blueface hasn’t been in trouble since knocking out Ed Matthews in 2023, and time has shown that.
He gained significant weight while serving time in prison for a probation violation in a 2021 battery case, but the extra weight didn’t translate into power in the ring.
It turns into problems. Technical skills are developed early. The blueface showed equally impressive fundamentals when he sparred with Floyd Mayweather and teamed up with Keyshawn Davis.
But Chibu came to work. In the second round, the weakling pushed Blueface into the ropes and poured everything he had into him.
The force was so great that Blueface literally went through the ropes. The pants also fell down. This is the image that will stay.
From then on, it was all Chibu. In the final round, the referee almost intervened during a corner kick chaos that looked like it might end the game early.
Blueface survived but was unable to recover. All three judges gave it to Chibu. The underdog earned the biggest win of his career on a night when the favorites should have been eliminated.
According to postgame footage, Blueface was visibly frustrated but calm during the interview. He acknowledged that Chibu prepared well and hit clean shots when it mattered most.
The rapper didn’t make excuses for the weight jump or suspension, which speaks to his character even in defeat. The real question now is what happens against Swaggy P on May 2 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.
Tickets are already on sale and the promotion is strong.
Blueface showed tonight that he still has a lot of work to do before taking on the NBA title, even in his boxing debut.
