Diddy wired a whopping $500,200 from the Fort Dix jail to settle federal fines related to his Manhattan criminal conviction, meeting a court-imposed deadline and closing an important financial chapter in his ongoing legal saga.
According to court records, Diddy’s legal team confirmed that full payment, a $500,000 fine and a $200 special assessment were recently delivered to the Southern District of New York Cashier.
The deal satisfies the monetary conditions of his sentencing last month.
The hip-hop mogul was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison on Oct. 3 after a jury found him guilty of two counts related to the Mann Act, a federal statute that involves transporting people across state lines for illegal purposes.
The court modified the judgment on October 16, giving Didi 60 days to pay the full amount.
Diddy is currently being held at the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix, New Jersey, a low-security facility. He has been in federal custody since his arrest in 2024 (before trial in 2025).
In a recent court filing, his defense attorney told a judge that Diddy has met all of his financial obligations. The move eliminates any further interest or penalties on the fine, but his prison sentence and supervised release remain unchanged.
While the fine has now been settled, Diddy’s legal team is still weighing appeal options. He also faces a separate civil judgment that remains unresolved.
