Teenager accused of violent outbreak at T-Mobile Center
NBA Youngboy held a concert in Kansas City that ended in chaos as a teenager attacked a 66-year-old arena employee, filed felony charges and raised concerns about the safety of the venue.
The incident took place on September 21 during the rapper’s performance at the T-Mobile Center. A video that quickly spread online showed the teenager shoved long-time staff member Thomas Schlage to the ground and repeatedly slammed him. The teenager allegedly hit a security guard while being evacuated from the arena.
The juvenile office of Jackson County’s 16th Judicial Circuit charges the minor with one felony and one misdemeanor. Due to his age, his name has not been released.

Seat dispute escalates into physical attack
The confrontation reportedly began with disagreements in the seats. Robert McDaniel, who witnessed and recorded the incident, told the Rolling Stones: “He was asked to move to another place because his ticket was not where he sat.
Schlage, who worked on the site for many years, described the aggressiveness of the teenagers as overwhelming. “I mean it’s serious; I fell on my head. Push him down and remove him from me… Because he’s irritated, we’re essentially just trying to protect our fans.”
Arena workers demand accountability and respect
Despite physical harm, Schlage responded to the allegations with measured words. “Accountability is important,” he said. “It’s a sad thing so far. Restraint, cooperation and respect are important lessons to learn.”
The T-Mobile Center has not commented on whether it will update its security protocols after the incident occurs.
NBA Youngboy’s legal history and recent performances cancelled
NBA Youngboy’s real name is Kentrell Gaulden, whose laws have been well documented in the past, involving allegations related to drugs and guns. NBC News reported that recently, his Chicago concert was cancelled due to security concerns.
Since the suspect is a minor, court proceedings will remain sealed.
