A$AP Relli, after burning $500,000 in his attorney in the ongoing slander battle with A$AP Rocky, dealing with the legal system alone, could cause him tens of thousands of things if he loses.
During a tense hearing in downtown Los Angeles Monday, Justice Randolph M. Hammock urged Relli to reconsider his lawsuit before finances backfire.
“I urge you to contact the other party to see if a deal can be reached,” the Rolling Stone said. “Maybe they will give up the charges to dismiss the lawsuit. … Maybe it’s time to reduce your losses.”
Relli, who had no legal representation on the phone, told the court that he had sunk $500,000. The defamation lawsuit stems from the 2021 incident in Hollywood, where Relli accused Rocky of shooting him with a semi-automatic weapon.
Rocky denied the claim and was acquitted in February 2025 after a three-week criminal trial. The jurors heard that the gun used was a movie prop with blank space. Recordings published in court allegedly said Relli demanded $30 million from Rocky and offered to pay for “on the island” (if paid) it disappeared.
After acquittal, Loki skipped the court barrier and hugged Rihanna, a partner who participated in the trial section.
Relli’s defamation lawsuit filed in 2023 alleges Rocky and his attorney Joe Tacopina portray him as a liar and blackmailer in public statements.
Rocky’s legal team is now urging the case to be dismissed under California’s anti-SLAPP regulations that protect freedom of expression.
If successful, Rayley could win the legal fee for Loki – estimated at about $50,000. Another civil attack case filed by Relli against Rocky is scheduled to be tried in January.
