There was a time when people thought that Rico hated “was crazy too, not in the box.” Her punk rock aesthetic may have confused some rap fans initially, but this personality is what drove her into focus and beyond her career. She talked about some of the speeches about “You Never Will”, a new song produced by Lehman and Imad Royal, appearing on her upcoming album Lethal, released on May 16. The 27-year-old Largo, Maryland, new project reflects the growth and elevation she has experienced in delivering her sublime bar over the past decade. Rico contacted XXL to discuss her latest version and her first foray into the performance.
Deadly is Rico Nasty’s best work to date. It was fun, full of confidence, and at the same time it was overwhelming. Rico’s best therapy seems to be when she touches the booth. In 15 songs, she offers a variety of soft emotions on various occasions. She has put down the rock banger “Tooth Attractor (yea3x)” while sugary sweet”. The series soon accompanied the hits of dopamine. There are rap, singing and rock energy, which becomes synonymous with her voice, with some pop.
Rico did try some alternative therapies when he created the project, which was filmed by director Devin Desouza. The rapper’s seductive face gazed at the sky above, decorated with acupuncture needles. The link between the album title and Chinese medicine technology symbolizes adventure.
“There is always a basic story for my favorite project,” she told XXL. “I guess the management of anger is myself, controlling my anger or anything else, and realizing that I even have anger problem, which is why it comes out in the music. This album is more free to do, and I think it’s scary because you don’t know how the other person looks.”
Rico’s hated era jumps into the unknown without fear, and that’s what she did for the deadly recording process after her last album Las Ruinas in 2022. “I think it’s kind of suitable for me. “I’ve done it for the first time and I’m like, hell. There is nothing to be afraid of. ”
“Crash” is a shiny example of Rico’s recreation of freedom. The optimistic, guitar-with-jewel is exactly the scene between two lovers in the romantic drama movie you hear. It’s still known for its rock flavor Rico, but this time, her singing is full of good energy. Devin Desouza will also direct the upcoming music video, while Rico can showcase more performance seals.
“This is one of the records I’m afraid to make because I’m famous for the records of “Smoke” and ‘Gun Son’ [two raging rock tracks on Lethal],” Rico said. “It only takes a little courage to trust yourself. But I love the reaction. You guys have a video and there is a video coming up. I’m actually going to shoot in New York. I’m glad to shoot this music video because it doesn’t perform much. It’s such a performance and really feel the emotion the song is trying to portray.”
Performance has become a priority for RICO over the past year. Although she took different roles from the days of Sugar Trap, such as Trap Lavigne, and her music videos gave her the chance to be a role, she is now officially a working actress. RICO will be doing the ribs in the new series Margo’s Got Money Indress, which will debut on Apple TV+ in 2026. The show is based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel, Stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfieffer, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman, Nick Offerman and Lindsey Normington, among others.
Rico plays the role of a roommate of Margo, played by Fanning. Margo, who became pregnant during an extramarital affair with a university professor, turned to single mothers to make ends meet. When her estranged father, a former wrestler, moved in with her, they reached a deal that he would help with parenting. Margo then began applying some advice from the wrestling world to her only fan account.
“I’m honored to be in the movie with Elle [Fanning] And my costar lindsey [Normington],” Rico said.[Lindsey] It is the sweetest, honestly making everything easier. We had an audition together, so on the first day, she was already like my companion. We finished the Hella rehearsal together… It was amazing. I feel very lucky. ”
In preparing for this new aspect of her career, Rico resonates with the main characters in the book, as she also had a child early and had many similarities in the music industry with his own 10-year-old son, Cameron. One thing Rico differently in Margo’s Got Money Trabss is that she lives at the door as a rapper. “They don’t treat me like an artist,” she revealed. “You’re a rookie here. It’s a new world, people are your fans, they respect what you do in your world, but it’s another world. I like that.”
There has never been a time when the real era Rico hated rap life was completely placed at the door because it was part of her innate nature. It was literally in her blood. Her father is a rapper, and he is actively spitting. Without hip-hop, her fans were used to the shakyness and charm of her fans would not exist, and the genre inspired her passion for rap.
“Rap is what made me fall in love with music,” she said. “I didn’t fall in love with art by myself. I fell in love with rap music. I fell in love with the art of metaphor. I fell in love with beats, I fell in love with culture, I fell in love with what it means to people. I fell in love with hip hop. I fell in love with hip hop, so I’m a rap product. You hear, my metaphor is still similar to rap songs.”
And don’t distort. Her history at home in the new record label of Ramen Fueed is known for launching careers in alternative bands such as Fallout Boys and Panic! In the disco, there is no way to stand out from her rap roots. Rico didn’t forget where she came from and encouraged rappers to do the same thing as they reached new heights in their careers.
“I will be a rapper forever,” Rico insists. “When people say ‘I’m not a rapper when I get to this part. Once I get to this sh*t, I’m not a rapper, I’m not a rapper, I’m not a rapper, ni **a, I’m an artist.’ But, you’re a rapper, you’re really good rap, you don’t even have rap music.
