The Billboard Hot 100 was finally updated this week, and as expected, Kendrick Lamar found great success following the release of GNX.
Kendrick holds the top 5 spots on the entire list, taking 7 out of 10 spots in total. The first album “Squabble Up” ranked first, “tv off” ranked second, “luther” ranked third, “wacced out murals” ranked fourth, and “hey now” ranked fifth. “Reincarnated” and “Man at the Garden” debuted at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively.
This incredible achievement came with several different milestones. Kendrick now becomes the first hip-hop artist to have three songs debut at No. 1 in any calendar year in chart history, the other two being, of course, “Like That” and “Not Like Us.” He is also one of only four artists to have seven songs in the top ten at the same time, with Drake being one of the others.
