Young Thug’s trial is still ongoing, but earlier today, proceedings were stayed until Monday (October 28). According to 11Alive, the court has been canceled and negotiations are ongoing, but it is not yet clear what the negotiations will be. News of the postponement comes amid rumors that the trial may be ruled a mistrial based on the testimony of one witness.
Lil Durk’s former artist SlimeLife Shawty appeared in court earlier this week and read the “Free Qua” label aloud. The information on the screen had reportedly been redacted, but the paper he was reading had not. As a result, Judge Page Reese Whitaker is reportedly considering a mistrial, even though she has already denied the motion for a mistrial with prejudice.
