Beating around the bush and feeling sorry aren’t common tactics in 50 Cent’s public persona, but there’s always at least some reflection on what he could have done differently. Surprisingly, in a recent wide-ranging and multifaceted interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he applied this to some of his previous rap beefs. Additionally, Fife discussed his feuds with Cam’ron, Fat Joe and others during the 2000s, particularly in New York’s competitive mainstream scene. While some of these battles received some quick and appropriate resolutions, others became more contentious. In retrospect, he seemed to regret taking these issues so seriously for so long.
When asked if he regretted anything in his career, 50 Cent responded: “Look, I think we wasted too much time arguing. Me and Fat Joe, me and Camron. There are others like Jada [Jadakiss], it’s easier for us to clean it. But we wasted time because that’s just the nature of competition. We didn’t pass each other or really develop a passion for each other. It’s more the case with Joe because he’s more like me, his personality is closer to mine. When we disagree, we disagree, and we disagree for a long time.
