Recently, rapper French Montana announced on Instagram that he will collaborate with Fivioforeign and Fabolous on a tour called the “Gotta See It To Believe It Tour”. The first leg will kick off as early as August 1, 2024.
To get things moving, the trio came together to create a high-energy, high-octane song called “To the Moon,” which is out now for your streaming pleasure.
The track boasts 808-heavy bass thumps throughout the production, including kick drum, splash snare, and rolling trap cymbal, while atmospheric, near-choral, and heavily processed sample covers gently cover the chord progression. In terms of lyrical content, the rappers talk about taking things to the moon, and to be fair, the energy is definitely there.
While the lyrics aren’t particularly impressive (mainly themes of money, women, and sex), the song was definitely designed to be a concert anthem with a lot of call-and-response value for fans to keep. They shouted out the chorus.
For the artwork, the rappers opted for an old, ripped collage and gangster aesthetic, using a red, green and white color palette as they carried guns and sunglasses. This grunge aesthetic fits the song perfectly and seems minimalist enough to represent the simple, energetic sound of the song. Check out the song below!
