6ix9ine donates $25,000 to two families in need.
Back on April 5, Tekashi announced on Instagram that he would be giving away $50,000 to people in need who commented on his post and told him why the bread could be used. On April 11, he fulfilled his promise. The Brooklyn, N.Y., rapper shared a video showing himself cashing in on two families.
“I think it’s a little selfish to give a family $50,000,” he says in the video. “So, I decided to split it in two and give each family $25,000 per person.”
The first family 6ix9ine blessed in the film was a pair of parents whose 7-month-old daughter suffered from a rare disease called dilated cardiomyopathy and needed a heart transplant. 6ix9ine flew the couple from Ohio to Miami to hand over the $25,000 to them in person. 6ix9ine went to the two families’ homes to pass the paper.
The giveaway is part of a new gambling app called RainBet that 6ix9ine is promoting. Tekashi said he will be running monthly giveaways.
6ix9ine was released from a New York City jail on April 3 after serving 90 days for a parole violation. He is currently on probation in Miami. Tekash has been active on social media since his release, sharing viral videos accusing Gucci Mane of talking to police about the alleged Pooh Shiesty robbery and mocking Young Thug for wearing rainbow-colored hair during a performance at Coachella.
