Yung Miami called out South African pop star Tyra on social media after she previewed her upcoming song “Chanel,” claiming the song was taken from a private session she played for her.

“This girl literally ran off with my song and I know how to feel it mind you I played this song for this girl,” the former City Girls rapper posted on X (Twitter) on Thursday (October 16).

She continued, “Like… B#### I’m confused!” and added, “Take me to Chanel > Put me in Chanel.”

Tyla’s Chanel trailer was released on October 24 and quickly went viral, with clips of her dancing to the song circulating across platforms. But Ong-Miami insists the concept is nothing new to Tyra.

When one user commented, “Miami is a song you’ll never forget,” she shot back: “It’s okay, it’s my mf song!!!” and again: “I played it to her!”

She ended her post with a promise to revisit the matter, writing: “It’s my daughter’s birthday and I’ll be back tomorrow with tea!”

Tyla, who won a Grammy earlier this year for her breakout hit “Water,” had yet to respond to the accusation as of Friday morning (October 17).

Her silence didn’t stop comments on the internet.

One user wrote: “tyla single needs more promotion next week, thank you Miami.”

Another completely dismissed the claim, saying “Young Miami is just using Tyra’s name to promote her song because no one cares about it. People still don’t care about it btw.”

A third user posted a screenshot comparing Spotify’s monthly listeners, showing Tyla has more than 29 million listeners compared to Yung Miami’s less than 150,000, with the caption: “When Yung Miami went online and said Tyla stole her stuff, she didn’t mean it…”
