The saga involving Young Buck and 50 Cent continued on Wednesday (April 24) — sort of. The former G-Unit rapper shared an old impromptu clip titled “New Year’s Cake” on Instagram with the caption: “Yeah I got 50 cents today…” Follow me at #linkinbio Meet up…and pull up to #TheRenovationTour…let’s talk about it! Despite mentioning 50 Cent, Young Buck denied in the comments section that it was a diss song directed at his former boss. When someone asked, “Does this count as a 50-cent diss?” Buck replied, “No, not at all. It’s just a chess game.”

It’s clear to anyone paying even remotely close attention that Young Buck and 50 Cent have been involved in a contentious feud for years. Earlier this year, Young Buck filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection in an attempt to avoid paying the debt he owed to 50 Cent. In April 2022, he appeared on the Raquel Harper Podcast and discussed some of his issues with 50 Cent.
“We’re at a standstill,” the younger Buck said. “When this can all be done on a commercial level, I definitely don’t want to be stuck in a protracted situation with the whole court. [50 Cent] issue a cease and desist order [letters] Trying to stop all my music and cancel everything because I said I’m still a G-Unit artist.
As a result, Buck was forced to find different ways to complete an album that reportedly remained on G-Unit’s contract, including filing for bankruptcy.
“What I did was [50 Cent] Leaving me unable to make money, I filed for bankruptcy again,” he added. “They stopped him from stopping anything. I included what he claimed I owed him in the bankruptcy to be able to say, ‘Okay, hey. If you owe this money, please show me any receipts or anything It’s the only way I can keep working that you’re going to get paid. 50 can’t stop any of the music I’m putting out now.
But that’s only half of it. 50 Cent and Young Buck have been exchanging words online after their falling out. 50 Cent has frequently accused Barker of being gay and romantically involved with trans women. He recently revisited what he called the “scandal” in March and hinted at finally clarifying the incident depicted in the photo, when Buck appeared to refuse to take photos with fans.
“It didn’t make any sense when we took the photo, but it makes sense now,” he wrote. “That boy loves them boys!” He also reshared the photo on Instagram with the same caption.
