YFN Lucci and Young Thug dropped their chins and bars Friday (September 26), when both Atlanta rappers released new albums to introduce each other – an unexpected move ended a year of hatred and reset the city’s hip-hop scene.
The dual version (YFN Lucci’s legend and Young Thug’s Uy Scuti) logged in the same day. But it’s not just the time to get attention.
Both albums include surprise guest appearances from former competitors, causing a sensation in both social media and hip-hop.
Lucci talked about the long-awaited settlement in an interview with Fly Guy DC on Siriusxm, confirming that the collaboration was intentional and intended to change the tone of the Atlanta rap community.
He started saying, “First of all, we went through a lot of things.” “Everyone lost people; we lost people. The most important thing is that we lost time. We have to stay away from our family. So, go home, like, damn, what can ##### do?
He added: “f##, let’s do one. Some people will get angry, some people will be happy. But who cares? We have to deal with the result of this s####.”

The two rappers have been in a painful hatred for years, a scattered in the diss track and street tensions, ultimately in a different high-profile legal battle.
The young thug pleaded guilty to gangs, drugs and gun charges linked to the YSL RICO case in October 2024. He has been suspended for a period of time and 15 years and is currently arrested in the House of Representatives and has been restricted from entering the Atlanta Metropolitan Metropolis for a decade.

After both artists returned from prison and reevaluated what their dispute had cost them, the decision to collaborate and what the Atlanta hip-hop scene could get from unity.
The album’s launch includes the relaxed troll between the two on social media. But the message behind the music is serious. These features are not only for display. They acted on purpose, turning to Atlanta rap, staying away from conflict, and returning to creativity.
